alchemy
alchemy is one of those things that blurs the line we like to throw up between “magic” and “science” - is it an experiment or a magic spell? a potion or a solution? does it matter? turning lead into gold or finding an elixir to immortality sounds like magic, but so too do injections that make one resistant or immune to certain diseases.
no matter, though, because here we have gold, falling down from the heavens like manna. it doesn’t so much matter if it is real or not, because either way it can be an inspiration. my darlings, this week, let’s try to transform our lives, leaving little drops of gold wherever we go.
