healing

first i noticed the sanctified honey in the healing jar, then i noticed the snake.

(it brought me right back to a sentence i latched on to while writing my thesis: “snakes shed their skin to grow and heal from injuries.” i had been injured, emotionally, and needed the reminder that i could heal, and grow, even if i would need to shed old parts of myself to do so.)

but honestly, my darlings, there is so much to noticed here and i feel like i could stare at this image all day, but i don’t know that i have much (more) to say about it. just: try to be gentle with yourselves.
