specific recs! here's what i'm currently into.

right now i'm reading the body keeps the score but recently i finished the broken earth trilogy by n.k. jemisin and the fire never goes out by noelle stevenson, both of which i highly recommend.

i'm replaying ladykiller in a bind, but i also want to get back to kentucky route zero now that the final part is out. (hit me up if you want some phone game recs!)

aside from watching people play d&d, i'm watching grace and frankie and rewatching gravity falls.

What a great idea! Thanks for giving us alternative ways to connect! Until the baby comes, I’m knitting a blanket, watching West Wing, and experimenting with gelatin-based low carb desserts. From-scratch tart cherry gelatin jigglers are my new jam. I made a coconut milk chocolate pudding yesterday that was All Wrong in texture but still ready delicious, especially when I smothered it in whipped cream. (Heavy cream is apparently, shockingly?, one of the few things the stores are not sold out of right now.)

I just finished Little Labors by Rivka Galchen, which gave me so much life, and I’m moving on to her novel Atmospheric Diaturbances, but I also have Exit West on standby because it feels appropriately apocalyptic. In all honestly, I probably won’t finish either of those books before the baby comes, and then I’ll be on to baby-related projects like sleeping and breastfeeding.

I also have been making and tending to little altars in my house. It’s a new morning ritual that I’m finding really grounding.

I'm doing some yard projects with my roommates. We did some weeding yesterday and tore down some dead vines and burned them in the fire pit which felt very healing. Also great way to fight the urge to only sleep and snack. Thankful to live somewhere with a small yard for sure. I'm giving extra snuggles and attention to the cat also. And trying to get motivated to go for little walks or jogs around the neighborhood. Maybe even do some yoga along to a video (we'll see about that).

Love this idea of sharing! I plan on:

-Also cleaning all things

-waking my dogs while staying away from people/taking an obnoxious amt of pics of them

-comic journaling daily

-miniature painting

-playing the FFVII remake demo (OBVIOUSLY)

-finishing battlestar galactica (watching Edward James Olmos deal with crisis after crisis helps my anxiety??)

-learning to crochet! (I saw knitting in the post above, yay!)

Stay safe + healthy, y’all ❤️❤️
