yesterday mercury went retrograde; today we are back with the wheel of fortune. a retrograde, contrary to popular belief, is not a bad thing; it’s a time to slow down, to review, to revisit. mercury governs communications, which is why astrologers are telling everyone to double-check their emails before sending.
see, part of what i find comforting about cycles is their predictability: sure, a mercury retrograde may throw a wrench in communicating, but if you know that, you can make sure to be cautious. i love the rhythm of routines, whether they’re daily or weekly or monthly or yearly. (do i have a sixth house sun? i sure do!)
